Membership fees are $25.00 and they will be payable at the General
Meeting. Please help us financially
by paying either by mail, or in person. Renewal reminders that have to be mailed
are not cost effective to the Society.

Belmont native Oscar Hand will be at the Cultural and Heritage
Learning Center on Tuesday February 23 at 6:00. Mr. Hand will be giving
out his book 'Footprints from the Rough Side of the Mountain',
which was co-written with Julia Neal Sykes. The book chronicles the
history of blacks in Belmont from the years 1895 to 1995. The Center is
located at 40 Catawba St in Belmont. For more information, please call

are searching for photos or items from Stowe Park as it was in the
50's and 60's. The BHS has established a display of Stowe
Park artifacts. We could use your help in obtaining more. If you have
pictures, we can scan your photos and return them. If you have items, you can
loan to BHS or you can
dontate them.

historical signifigance to Belmont or the surrounding area. If you
have something you would like to donate or loan to the BHS
please
contact the office via email or phone and arrange an appointment for
your item to be evaluated. Please understand due to space
limitations we may not be able to accept all items offered for display.
