DONATIONS
HOW do you make a donation to the Belmont
Historical Society?
If it is your time and labor, please notify a member
of the BHS with your skills. You can also become a member and help by working on
Friday, Saturday or Sunday (or special occasions) in the Cultural Learning
Center for a 2 hour shift.
If it is a check, please mail to the BHS, PO
BOX 244, Belmont NC 28012. If your donation is for a specific project
please specify that with your donation. Donations are tax
deductible.
It is not required to specify a project but some folks wish to
apply a donation to a specific project.
If you have Historical images,
documents or artifacts please call the BHS to discuss and schedule an
appointment at 704.825.4848.
You can send an email
to ask questions or email images to
belmonthistoricl@bellsouth.net
Please be patient as the email may require several
people's review.
If you are not sure, please call and ask for specific
instructions on how to make your donation.
PLEASE do not be offended if
your donation is declined. We only have a limited amount of space to store and
display items. We wish we could accept all
items offered for donation, but
we can't.
We do allow for "permanent loan" donations. If you wish to
loan something to the BHS but retain ownership, please be sure to ask the
Artifacts chairperson about this type of donation.
